Fertilizer Complex
The Fertilizer Complex is a facility designed to store and handle fertilizer. The intent is that the building can be filled in off season periods at a closer location to demand areas. During peak season as many as 7200 tonnes of various fertilizers will leave the facility in any 24 hour period. The building was constructed using concrete pile foundation, slab on grade floor and 10’ x 12” concrete walls with buttresses at strategic locations. A steel building was erected on the concrete walls with metal cladding on the exterior walls and a plywood liner on the interior.
